Quest XP that will walk you out of the bracket
After the Wowhead retraction (22 Sep 2026), Forever required XP to level was reported to match Classic — 21,300 XP for 19→20 single-source. Dungeon quest XP was buffed and kill XP cut in beta notes. The practical lock risk is still the turn-in, not trash XP. There is no confirmed Forever XP-off NPC (Behsten/Slahtz are Cata+/retail) — guess you lock by managing turn-ins until the live client shows otherwise.

05 Practical lock order
- Hit 19 on outdoor quests / grind, not on a RoL turn-in.
- Enter RoL / HoT / RFC with the bar as empty as you can stand.
- Loot the kit. Leave the quest items in the bag.
- If a single listed turn-in is ≥ 7,000 XP, you need more than one-third of the 19 bar empty or you ding.
- Bloodied Insignia, Remember That I Love You, and Crest of Lordaeron are the three Alliance 9,750 reports. That is 46% of the 19 bar each.
- Do not combine two of those in one session unless you intend to go 20.
